Chris Battaglia

CEO WorldPensionSummit, Publisher of Pensions & Investments (P&I)

Chris Battaglia is Vice President/Group Publisher of Pensions & Investments, the pre-eminent international newspaper of money management. He is responsible for managing all of the brand’s businesses including the biweekly newspaper, digital and conferences, data and research products. In this role he has earned a reputation for innovation and cultivating new business opportunities globally. He has expanded P&I’s digital platform, pionline.com, and launched a variety of custom-publishing initiatives, including P&I Custom Media and the P&I Research Center, which recently won a Neal Award, business journalism’s top prize. Chris joined Crain Communications in 1991 as a sales and marketing executive responsible for US, UK and European business development. Since then, he has held executive positions in sales and marketing and was promoted to publisher of P&I in 2006. In January 2016, Chris became CEO of the WorldPensionSummits in The Hague and Africa, after leading the acquisition of Netherlands-based Global Platform B.V. The WorldPensionSummits now join P&I’s established global conference business in Japan and the U.S., and expands P&I’s access to assets across four continents that together represent more than 90% of the world’s institutional assets.

A 30-year veteran of marketing and financial information publishing, Chris has also served as Vice President, Associate Group Publisher of The Industry Standard, a start-up media company that made publishing history during the internet boom, and has held key executive and management positions with Yahoo Inc., Corporate Finance magazine and Investment Dealer’s Digest. He has served as the Vice Chairman of American Business Media’s Publishers Committee and is actively involved as a media industry expert in financial services. He began his career in marketing at Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith after earning a bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College. Chris enjoys being a global citizen so he can meet investors around the world but also like to return home to his family in New Jersey. He is married and has three children ages 20, 17, and 15.

Harry is a financial services marketing and positioning strategist. He previously worked at Banque Paribas and ABN AMRO and was a director at two leading strategic consultants. He is a leading contributor to innovation in both the retail and corporate payments and transaction space. He has also been actively involved in developing solutions in financial planning, international pensions and 'social innovations'. His strength is in catalyzing institutions into developing vision and strategies, and in identifying and implementing client-centric solutions. He is a columnist and guest speaker, sits on several advisory boards and regularly publishes in leading international media.

Eric Eggink

CEO Eggink Van Manen

Mr Eric Eggink is a seasoned communications expert and the co-founder of the WorldPensionSummit. He was at various times a concept developer and producer of television and radio programs for the largest broadcasting organization in The Netherlands and the Director of Communications at the Sociale Verzekeringsbank in Amsterdam. A holder of two doctorate degrees from the University of Amsterdam, Mr Eggink was a member of Omnicom Group and was a partner of this international communications group for over 12 years. He published the first Handbook of Internal Communications and has written books on change leadership in organizations, reorganizations and adaptive organizations. Mr. Eggink is presently the CEO of Eggink Van Manen communication consultancy, an agency that consults for large national and international companies and organizations in the field of corporate communications. He has founded several organizations besides the WorldPensionSummit, including; ECCE Academy for Leadership Development, Investigative Interview Training Agency and Sutherland in Control, which specializes in control management. Eggink is a personal coach and trainer of many CEO’s and leaders in the Dutch Business World. He enjoys writing about wine, especially Italian wine.
